SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT This ‘Supplier Code of Conduct’ is directed towards Færch Plast’s suppliers, and describes what we expect from our suppliers and what kind of behaviour we wish to promote throughout the supply chain. We recommend that the supplier implements the standards of this Code of Conduct to its own business partners who supply material related to Færch Plast. Acceptance of and compliance with this ‘Supplier Code of Conduct’ is an integral part of the ‘Product Supply Agreement’ between Færch Plast and the supplier. 1. LEGAL COMPLIANCE & ANTI CORRUPTION The supplier must respect and comply with all applicable laws, regulations and prevailing industry standards, as well as the supplier must conduct its business with integrity and in an ethical manner. The supplier must avoid participation in any kind of corruption, extortion or bribery. Consequently, the supplier may not offer, promise, authorise or give anything of value to any public official in any country, or to any business partner, in order to gain any improper business advantage of any kind. The supplier must refrain from offering expensive gifts and extravagant entertainment to Færch Plast’s purchasers or other employees at Færch Plast in an attempt to influence business decisions. 2. ENVIRONMENT The supplier must ensure compliance with all relevant local and national environmental laws and regulations, as well as requirements for environmental licenses and permits. Furthermore, the supplier is expected to integrate environmental considerations in its activities and strive for continuous improvement to limit the use of resources. This includes minimizing the use of raw materials, energy, water and chemicals, reducing and handling waste in an environmentally responsible way and recycling materials as much as possible. 3. WORKING & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS 3.1 HEALTH & SAFETY The supplier must offer workers a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with all local laws and regulations. Adequate health and safety policies and procedures must be established and followed, and workers shall receive regular and recorded health and safety training. We urge that the supplier continuously improve work conditions and take all necessary precautionary measures to secure the employees from work related dangers and risks. The supplier must offer employees protective equipment necessary to perform their tasks safely. The supplier must provide a suitable, clean and healthy infrastructure, including access to toilets and drinking water adequate to the number of employees. 3.2 CHILD LABOUR The suppliers must not engage in child labour. The minimum age for employment is 15 years (or 14 years where established by national laws). Where permitted by national laws, the suppliers may employ children between 12 and 15 years to perform a few hours of light work per day. Employees under 18 years of age are not to be involved in hazardous work or to work at night. 3.3 DISCRIMINATION The supplier must not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, language, religion, political or other opinions, caste, national or social origin, property, birth, union affiliation, sexual orientation, health status, family responsibilities, age, or disability.
